Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Ask yourself if CA ever grew without acquiring companies for cash and cutting expenses by removing 95% of the workforce to show some sort of profit and then liquidating completely? Broadcom is CA's big brother when it comes to this.

@cjkw+16CzkCky. umm..that's because the mo–n Analyst on the call doesn't understand software licensing...he's obviously a semiconductor analyst and doesn't get revenue recognition rules...

Looks like this years "growth" will be via Hocktane selling ESD to HCL after hiring cheap labor to bring body count back, and then selling it off. They might be the lucky ones. Check it out over on the CA thread in here.

No raises because of covid fearmongering and the company grows almost 6%.. such bs and penny pinching

well, it will definitely grow through financial engineering, like an analyst questioned why the software divisions had double digits booking while the earning was basically flat.

Broadcom will grow via acquisition. Your BU will not.

Well since Broadcom has used the COVID 19 crisis to justify not giving anyone a raise for FY20, we banked 3B in cash in fiscal Q3, and paid off 1.9B in debt in fiscal Q4, and plan on paying off another 3B in fiscal Q1 2021 per Q4 call that just happened. So the next "growth" will be happening anytime, just you wait for it. Meanwhile, we are all being told our bonuses likely won't be all they should be due to lackluster divisions not making money, and we "should" be getting more RSUs in March 2021. Ill believe it all when I see it since the clear plan is to weasel their way out of paying the hard workers that are still here to finance their next BS acquisition. I hope the majority of the smart folks work on getting other options as soon as bonuses and Dec RSUs are paid out.

well, there was acquisition in 2018, then 2019, but not this year. So definitely not able to grow this year.

What a stupid question, it’s constantly growing through acquiring struggling companies and gutting their staff.
