Is there any truth in the question raised on Seans call today about certain people being offered some sort of retention bonus to stay? Anyone willing to share??

Don’t all Sabre retention bonuses come with a clause that if you reveal their existence, the company doesn’t have to pay you?
Are these still happening or was it one and done? When were these given? Frustrated-I was ‘first on the list for a promotion’ once all movement was halted in Feb. I like my mgmnt, but am disappointed in how they handle things. Really sad if they are getting incentives but play the ‘i haven’t heard anything’ card when you ask anything.
@6rbq+16Dgz1Ki: Maybe 5 years too late... but yes, time to find greener.
Given recent events and comments, I’m not sure I could feel any less valued by our organization than I do right now. Clearly the time has come to find greener pastures.
There were retention bonuses and it was not just Principal and above. It appears it was dependent upon projects you work on as well as skill set. TPF offload, Sabre subject matter expertise etc. were some of the areas receiving retention bonuses.
I'm a director and have been offered an obscene sum to remain while our leadership buys time. I feel bad for accepting this much but have been actively looking for an escape when the time is right. Loyalty does not exist here
It’s common for company’s to have a KERP - Key Employee Retention Program in times of distress. Employees are required to commit to stay for a specified duration of time in exchange for additional compensation. Typically it’s done prior to a bankruptcy filing.
"If you dislike it that much, why do you stay?"
I do enjoy my colleagues and the products I am working on. I also enjoy working at Sabre. I expressed my doubts about certain topics.
SM, DS and the senior executive team has their interest in the company and share holders.
Dead End Leadership = Dead End Company.
Do whatever you like, but I find it comical that you think SM, DS, or any VP and higher has anything but their own self-interest in mind
If you dislike it that much, why do you stay?
But SM said that he doesn't see any spike in the attrition rate...
Who to believe?
I guess the executives believe that a real talent is to be find only in their circle. After all, all this software is built and sales are done by them, right?
I recently left, was told I was on the keep list and got regular stock grants so I guess that means they sort of wanted me around. When I told them my offer they said there is noway to match that and sorry to see you go. So now I'm gone and much happier at my new home. The amount of brain power just walking out the door is staggering.
i know for a fact that if you are essential and threaten to leave Sabre can will decide whether to match the offer to retain you but if you are not essential they do want attrition to take place...
no, but DS answered this in part on his call yesterday and implied that different benefits can and do apply to different individuals. S— it up and get on with life, we are lucky to have a job and I believe this company is taking care of its employees
I was only offered a promise, apparently nothing that could have been done instantly. Unfortunatelly my suppliera doe not accept promises, so I’m gone.
Everyone gets their bonus payout in December if we reach our cost savings goals, that’s it. That’s your retention bonus. Hang in there through EOY. But if we don’t reach that goal, know one gets anything. That’s the game you play.
Didn’t we all get a bonus that will be paid in December?
I know of one person who supposedly received a retention bonus. They were not willing to confirm/deny nor share any more details. The fact that they didn't confirm/deny says they did in fact get a retention bonus.
