Below poster, well said....it can’t ALL be over 60, but a proportion can be, it’s not a protected age group, but can’t be targeted.....that’s why HR makes sure the proportions are legal

HR will balance the number over 60 to prevent lawsuits. So some of you young folks have to go to balance the equation. If they just got rid of only over 60, that would be a huge age discrimination lawsuit. HR is there to protect the company but not you.

I for one can testify that all that were moved 2 years ago of 61 FCM's 40 were terminated and the final 21 who were ALL over50 were essentially forced out. There are 2 of us remaining of that group. I know for fact several suits going on with this as I have been contacted and asked to testify.

Outed? I’m over 60, and still with Humana, been through multiple RIFs. All I’m saying is HR has to prove no discrimination when they go through the RIFS, it’s the easiest thing for them to be blamed for, which is why they, by law, have to show the ages of who was let go, if you feel discrimination, call a lawyer, it won’t go far, it hadn’t, it won’t, and maybe it was your role was being changed or your department changed, or a whole bunch of other reasons than your age

If you are referring to me, the axe grinder, I have observed that there are many who are not me with similar complaints. Its not one, it's many. And there are other complainants that are not me. Sorry Humana troll. Not working out for you, right? Dont worry about evidence, there's plenty. And sorry, I won't just "Let it go" based on a comment by a random anonymous poster on a layoff site. So, it will be the happiest day in my and other victims lives when you are held accountable for your racist, s-x and age discrimination, ADA discrimination and retaliatory practices. You need to be outed! Justice will be served not only for your employees but for the members you caused suffering to. Pass the damned popcorn please!

Please stop with the age thing. It is your position, not you, or if it is you, you are unable to do the job as it is now. My department has over half of its folks over the age of 60! Who weathered all the RIFs. Let it go, Humana is a big corporation who knows the rules and concerns. If you’re going to look at discrimination, make sure there is nothing in your role you were doing wrong or needed improving on before you go down that Road
