Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

No regrets about leaving...

I left after 1 1/2y after the CA acquisition. Glad that I did. No regrets about leaving. Everyone has its price - I took some shares during the time and dropped almost half a million USD in RSUs. I don’t give a sh– about that money - I prefer the freedom and the opportunity to work for a really market leading company that threats their clients and employees in a total different (positive) way!

The loss of the RSUs are easily compensated over the next 4-6y in my current company. So stop seeing the RAUs as golden handcuffs ;-) Also other companies have great packages and offer RSUs and if you don’t take the next best job (and your are talented and motivated) you will be surprised what other companies have to offer!

ps: If you think CA people are lazy you have not yet worked with the Symantec guys :-)))))

OP, since you mention missing out on half mill in RSUs , you do give a sh–. So stop kidding yourself and move on and don’t repent.

At Broadcom, RSUs are golden handcuffs for those who are ok living in a jail. I transitioned out post CA acquisition and world is indeed much greener outside. Little less RSUs which gets compensated by employee friendly benefits and policies, no autocracy and best of all, much more challenging work.

I left that dinosaur sh–hole of a company two years ago when CA was acquired by Broadcom.

Why are you guys there? Do you guys actually enjoy the negative, unproductive, non-innovative and talentless atmosphere?

It's funny, as this is at least the second time you've posted this verbatim. What are you looking for? An Atta Boy? For someone that is so happy somewhere else you sure seem to be unable to let go of your past.
