Don't feel too envious of those that stayed. Based on the financial status of both companies those that stayed are likely facing a 5-20% paycut on top of more work with less help in the upcoming months. No money is being saved if 850 people take their full severance with benefits over the next 3-12 months. Which means continued losses into the 1st quarter of next year. Something to think about...
@ulv+16a6ntpu - That's just cruel! Why not just play duck, duck, goose instead...
All hands tomorrow and a team meeting on Thursday. Am I safe?
Wednesday meeting
- SVP
- HR Manager
- HR AVP
Bad news bears folks✌️
What about a meeting on Wednesday with HR and a meeting on Thursday with an SVP?
Yes - a personal meeting on Wednesday with just YOU and your director/HR etc. is BAD news. Sorry :(
In 2007 everyone was called into their Directors office for a conference call. On the call they told everyone to return to their desk and if their phone rang they were to report to where they were told. It was the most traumatic time I have ever endured in corporate life. Same leadership is mostly still there. That should tell you something...
I don't know the email said the vast majority didn't it?
Not everyone is having a meeting though. You’re only having one if you’re impacted in some way.
I don't think Wednesday is necessarily bad news. If they are laying off 15% of the workforce on Wednesday that means the remaining 85% will have meetings on Thursday. That doesn't seem logical to me.
Heard a lot of people received meetings for tomorrow in addition to all hands meeting. Does that mean all these associates who received emails are let go?
How do you know who is keeping their jobs?
Based on what I know with who is keeping their jobs this is an accurate timeline
Do we know for sure if Wednesday is for the layoffs or is that just speculation?
I got one for tomorrow too!
Got one for tomorrow fml. Someone tell me this is not true.
The email said 15% will get laid off
Is this across all brands and functions?
