Customer complaints on the rise

This company is really dropping the ball with its online business. I work at a high volume store and helped many customers place orders online. Some orders were placed a month ago and still hasn't shipped. So many customers have complained to me about their orders taking 3+ weeks to arrive.

If any executives are reading this, THIS is why Amazon, Target, and Walmart are kicking our butts. I am just so embarassed to be working for this company. Its just sympathetic and us at the store level are getting p–ped on by both customers and uloer management.

You know what? I quit. I'll go work at Target.

I do the shipping at my RF store. Unlike Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc we have no supplies, and no support. We don’t have clean shipping boxes or polybags. We can’t order them, either, because they just never come. We have to scrounge up whatever receiving hasn’t thrown in the compactor that’s day yet since we aren’t allowed to stockpile boxes because it, quote my RM, “looks unprofessional.” We don’t have airbags or bubble wrap, again, we save whatever we can get our hands on. We don’t have the fancy tape with the BBB logo on it, and apparently can’t get it, we keep requesting it and it never comes. BUT we get screamed at because we aren’t using it. On a good day we “only” get around 20-22, when we’re supposed to be capped at 15, but in a bad day it’s more like 40. 40 customer direct ships going out in beat up and patched up recycled boxes, with that cheapo tape they buy that won’t stick and peels off in transit. I’m surprised that orders actually get to the customer. Compared to any other true omni retailer BBB isn’t even trying to compete. BBB isn’t even trying to keep up, or maintain a standard. All we’re telling customers is that we don’t give a f**k about them.
I would tell anyone to order through anyone but BBB. You’ll get it a) faster, and b) in one piece if you order it anywhere else.

I ordered a bunch of things online a few months ago, figures I would use our services over Amazon because i wanted to keep the $ here at BBBY. Slightly cheapet after my 20% associate discount. Ordered 5 things, they came in 5 different mangled boxes from 5 different stores over the course of 2 weeks after my order date. Got stupid 'narvar' tracking emails after the boxes delivered.

Never again will I order from the BBBY 'Omni' experience. Now I appreciate how great Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc are at online commerce. BBBY eCom was a nightmare.

Well, it makes sense they're s—ing at fulfillment. How do you expect stores to do well in fulfillment when you've cut hours so drastically thats its hard for stores to keep up with the demand? Online orders are sitting in fulfilment because associates can't find the product, because its been sitting in a box in receiving, or it was dug away deep in the stockroom where no one can find it because new associates weren't taught how to POG.

I am so glad I left this sinking ship over a year ago. I knew this would happen. I feel bad for anyone I know who is still going through this. Ya'll don't need this BS.

Agree ! We get so many calls from customers inquiring about there orders. They try and call the 800 # and wait times being 45 minutes , and longer.
We then pass the buck to one of the LOD's , then there on the phone . Then an email has to be sent to customer service to help. I hear that there are times with no response. Customer's want there money back.... Sad. And a waste of time and effort that we don't have.

Unfortunately instead of being a well oiled machine its a rusted clunker!!! How long must we wait for more efficient systems????

They keep saying omni this and omni that, it their idea of omni is forcing the customer online and making them wait for low quality merchandise, thinking that people will still choose us over those other retailers who over free 3-day shipping. We make them wait 2 weeks and have the gall to charge them for the privilege. Wake up, CEO!

I ordered a popular item few weeks ago. Took 11 days to go 23 miles.. BBB sat on it for 9 of them. They’ll never make it with online shopping.
