All part timers fired

All part timers at Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Rejuvenation and Mark and Graham were fired on July 27th, 2020 with either no notice cause you got a form letter in the mail or you got a call from a General Manager or District Manager. No severance pay and they did not pay out vacation or sick time people had accumulated. They made millions last year and gave bonuses out to upper management but not the sales, stock or supporting departments. Greedy b–tards. More firings and store closures to come.

Williams Sonoma and more...The Layoffs

The mid to lower paid employees always take the hit. This happens across all industries. The top 5% of the company will walk away with millions and not look back. This is how it works. And then CEOs wonder why employees have no loyalty.

2020 Layoffs Have Begun
Today thousands were let go from the companies of Williams Sonoma. We were told we could apply for a job during the holiday season. Wow. People with 10, 15, 20 years with the company got a call from the district manager saying thanks and good luck. It hurts with the commitment we’ve given with schedule changes at the last minute or going in early after staying late the night before. Really you couldn’t keep us on until the holiday season? With the small number of hours available now, that was too much to offer. I guess people don’t count at Williams Sonoma.

those let go worked 13 hours or less & the reasons really was thst if you were 60 days in active, you were dismissed. Problem with that is that many stores were closed up to two months before reopened to public so technically, we were not inactive & Corprate lied to make a profit for themselves & kept their favorites. They didn't have to do this. They could have put us on a leave of absence until Holiday season knowing they would need a full.staff until February. Greedy & zero compassion during this Pandemic. Shame on them ...& their LinkedIn post..about employees first...so fake & lies.
