If the new leadership (Danny D. & Torri) want to have any success at all they will have to clean house of “the good ole boy” management club in Birmingham Alabama. There are several managers as well as a V.P. that have been with Health Solutions a long time that act like they own the company and do exactly what they want. They undermine the revolving leadership put in place by SS&C, discriminate against employees and show favoritism to favorite people. This old time management club is one of the main reasons why the old applications have not been modernized and converted to modern platforms. They do not know modern technology and make sure they move out any one that may have the ability to modernize the technology. If Danny D. really wants to be successful, move these old time club managers out of organization. All you have to do to discover who they are is talk to employees. Employees who are not afraid of them will tell you who they are but its not hard to figure out who they are. We can also list them here if there is interest.

Good luck, the embedded managers that you reference are kissing the most behind and the higher ups will simply say they are critical due to the experience they have in the industry. Then the embedded managers will hound and block any new managers that have an ounce of brains and original ideas because it will show how inept they are. As a previous manager who experienced this first hand I can simply say good luck and god speed.
Health Solutions is a joke. The organization exist to massage egos and allow the good ole boy club to think they have power. Leave this organization as soon as you can.
I totally agree with this but I can tell you from personal experience if you are not in the good ole boy group and you mention to new management about them you are good as gone. They are in so deep they tell the new management what they want told and the others are screwed.
Saying all managers and directors are the problem would be simpleminded. Intelligence and detailed listening skills are needed to quickly seperate those with knowledge that care and those without knowledge that have brown noses.
Its too late. These has been managers, directors and VP have wrecked this company. Its pitiful SS&C has never realized what this Good Ole Boy network has been doing for their own personal gain at the expense of the company.
It will be the same as we have experienced in the past if the new leadership does nothing to get rid of the dead weight managers. We have brought up to the new round of leaders sent and moved into place by SS&C before that abusive, know nothing, do nothing, manage by intimidation managers were in Birmingham Alabama. We named names then and nothing was done. Its mostly the 20 year plus managers/directors sinking the place and have been sinking it for the last few years. Along with a VP that is still here.
Don't be fooled by the same old talk. The new leadership will fine comb the business picking the positions they feel are unnecessary. The same senior management will be asked for input. Good input from the few exceptional management staff will be given. The good input will be overshadowed by the @@sl!ckers, then positions will be cut. With every leadership change different bu's are concidered waste and let go. This poor decision making has led to 8 times more customer cancellations then new customers onboarded. Who know's maybe these two are true leaders looking to breake the cycle of ineptitude but actions speak louder than words.
This is one of the best post I have seen on here. You are absolutely correct. The main problem is ignored due to when new SS&C leadership comes in they think they need these most senior managers but they could not be more wrong. These seniors managers over and over are the reason we are not successful. If the present SS&C leadership would clean house of these people we may have a chance to modernize if it is not too late.
