Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

Eagan closing!!

Is that true Eagan office is closing down on December and all employees have been let go?
Seems like lot of old timers in London have been let go, my linked in feed is full of looking for work statuses. But wonder why there are job openings advertised in careers.refinitiv.com in UK location.
Also, I hear that Indian employees are not that productive from the WFH perspective due to lack of infrastructure. I have also experienced first hand ,my current employer has team in India but the infrastructure such as connectivity and speed is soo poor, most of my time in meeting is to keep repeating what I say.

I have no idea why even a mediocre programmer would hire into Brookfield. A quick Google search should help anyone considering hiring into that dumpster fire.

Low pay - its always been about low pay, that's why you see so many new hires right out of college. Lay off the experienced staff and then throw the newbies in the fire.

Gee, I don't know why they would be having issues hiring people. I would have thought annual layoffs, outsourcing of jobs and lack of training/resources would be a strong selling point to job seekers.

Brookfield has many openings, too, for Angular programmers. They are taking over some small apps from who knows where but they are also having issues hiring people. I am not sure if it is due to lack of skills or low initial pay.

So far as i've heard, nobody has been let go here (although several people found the door themselves).
