Thread regarding Cloudera layoffs

What do you think happens to Cloudera long term?

I think we can find our place for growth if we can integrate well with k8s. Then we can maintain what we have and grow as our customers do.

Not as glorious as we thought in 2017, but not as bad as we thought in 2019. Right?

After reviewing the 10K and 8K, it is pretty obvious that revenue will come from 2 areas:

  • Raising prices (charging customers more for the same product)
  • Reducing costs (laying people off/paying people less)

The "good" news is tempered with the reality that Rob and team are shedding both employees and customers while jacking up prices.
