When the layoffs occurred in August 2020, myself and 1000 others had two months to find another job. From my past experiences with Enterprise level software companies, I assumed that I would have a dedicated recruiter, an inside track on jobs, proactive support from my management team, etc. I was completely wrong. At Salesforce, when your position is eliminated (immediately) your system access is turned off, with the exception of mail, calendar and the job postings site. Also, there are no special benefits, paths, resources for you to find a job. Essentially, you are placed on an island by yourself to look for another job. You are treated just like an external candidate. The internal recruiting team is ineffective and typically completely overwhelmed with the "processing" of other internal candidates. While I understand there needs to be objectivity and fairness in the interview process, there needs to be something for your employees whose positions have been eliminated. As with many posts about Salesforce on this site, the company is becoming a machine that grinds the life out of its employees. What the company portrays on the outside is very, very different on the inside. The "culture" has created a bar that cannot be cleared because it moves up with every monthly announcement about being #1 in some area. I do not regret my almost three years at Salesforce as it allowed me to do what I loved. However, looking back, I realize that Salesforce is not the place that I thought it was and I am glad that I was able to move on to a company that truly cares and values it's employees and their future career direction.

Recruiters are so slammed, they are bypassing the initial screening call.

The internal recruiters are garbage people, not helpful in any way whatsoever. Have had more luck networking on my own. One 'formal' interview process under way and another manager waiting in the wings to get a new open req. that he has been told is coming. "When I get it, you are my guy."

Not much around at Sr. Dir+, and the ones that are there aren't jobs any sane person wants.

Much better success outside.
