People who were promoted this year now know that all of the promotion incentives that were laid out in the town halls were a lie. No pay raise, no IPP increase in most cases, and a pathetic RSU that does not even make up for inflation and requires you to stay at this company for another year before you see a dime. Screwing your employees out of a promotional raise should be an absolute last resort before filing for bankruptcy, not the first move you make in a downturn.

Micron is a company you work for that gives you perspective on life... I worked there for 9 years. Don't do that... I recommend 2 to 4 years. The toxic environment and high stress will burn you out. Every job after this will be gravy to you. Better environment. Lower stress. Liter work load. If you let this companies toxic environment consume you, you will end up use abused and with no retirement. The grand side of working for Micron is your next job. You won't even know how bad you have been treated until you leave. I left being promised a promotion to senior tech and a 5.0 evaluation. I walked in and quit with no job offers. My next job pays more with a much lower work load. People are not trying to stab me in the back everyday. They are happy I come into do my job. Micron will make you grateful to work with a normal work load at a better paying job. At you next job, when you have a bad day, you will look at a normal day at Micron and be like," this is nothing to me". Every job after Micron is the best day since Micron.
So the quarterly profit was over a billion dollars and the company can't afford raises for the next fiscal year? What a joke!
There is a Lox and Nitrogen tower at the Manassas facility. It could cut company production and R&D by %30 if those two towers were taken out. Just saying.
You are fortunate to have a job? That is the same bull sh– Micron has been saying for decades. Here is the truth. No one wants to work for Micron. The next you you need to understand, is there are tones of higher paying lower stress jobs out there. I spent 9 years at MTV. I make much more money and put in half the effort. By the time Micron is done with their sweat shop b—s— your managers will be doing PM's because you have now working class left.
