Is it true employees who have to work on Thanksgiving will be receiving T-Shirts to wear that say "We Ain't Afraid Of No Virus"? And is it true for the 25th consecutive year Giant Eagle will again be passing out $15 Giant Eagle gift cards for all of the hard work employees did this past year?

To all of the corporate employees who are coming into the retail stores to “Help you guys out” over the next 9 weeks I just want to say Thank You. Thank you very much. No really Thank You. Once again Thank You..... Oh by the way nights and weekends are required in the Retail Stores. Thank You.
Amen to the commenter who’s mocking the corporate id–t that said “help you guys out”! That’s spot on there my friend, the corporate office people look down on retail while laughing all the way to the bank!
They must feel so selfless coming out to “help” retail out, gee, hope working your typical RIDC (formally) 9am-3pm Monday thru Thursday and 9am-12pm Friday’s isn’t too much of a burden. Surely hope the retail degenerates scrub all the Covid off the conference room chairs before you get there to spend half your day “working” remotely. “Helping you guys out” will be some appreciated doing nothing but hanging out with the store manager.
We are soooooooo lucky to work for such a caring company like Giant Eagle. It’s so nice to hear they changed their company’s mission statement, “stepping on employees backs for 90 years now”.
"you help you guys out"...so much for one company, one team. Such a burden to, you know, sell groceries.
Yes the Thanksgiving T-Shirts are on order. Also a new face mask will be distributed that says "COVID won't ruin Giant Eagle's Thanksgiving 2020". All employees working will be aske to wear the mask. And it is very possible but not yet confirmed but employees who are working on Thanksgiving Day might have chips and pop in the breakroom for free as long as the store has some outdated product they can scan out. Should be an exciting day.
You guys are aware that they are basically shutting down corporate activity for the next 9 weeks so they can go into the stores to help you guys out, right?
No, only the corporate employees sitting at home are going to wear the shirts that say "we ain't afraid of no virus"
