One of the Karmic sayings is "what goes around comes around". Predict the same will eventually come to Lowes as we continue to slip from a customer focused company to a stockholder focused company. I am old enough to remember a whole slew of different hardware/lumber chains that once populated my state. All are gone now except for LOW and HD. While HD always held the advantage with Pro customers, I believe LOW held the advantage with the moderate DIY and amature DIY customers. If you needed more than the slightest of help or better product selection you went to LOW, wanted to drink free coffee while 500 2x4s were loaded on your work truck you went to HD.
In my opinion corporate's mad dash to the brass ring of the almighty stock price is rapidly eroding what once separated LOW from HD. The transition to 3rd party everything is by far the largest contributor to our rapid drop in Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y customer service. Soon it will become a choice of whether you prefer the color Blue to Orange. The not so subtle pushing out of tenured associates (many with advanced home improvement experience) for lower paid youngsters (who in many cases have zero home improvement experience) further erodes the customer experience. Enjoy it while it lasts cause our slip into mediocrity is destin to continue as long as we keep walking, or should I say running this path.
The management barely knows what you know. If you're a minority you will not move up. They feel threatened and will try to railroad you. It's a bunch of bull. Never ever worked for such a poorly run company in which the management nor employee relations does not care.
Shut up and go downstock aisle 12, but not until you get the Code 3 in Millwork, there’s nobody there today. Make sure you listen for Code 50’s, we don’t have any loaders, and pull internet orders when they page. I need those IRPs also, and when you’re done with all that help pull freight out of receiving and go do your Lowe’s U. Write ups are coming if this is not done.
The whole corporation is a joke. The entire corporation is so disconnected from its operation. They are so tied up with stock price and media coverage that they don't have a clue what's going on with the company ....at least on floor level.
It’s a joke every where
Why is it a sad joke?
