Thread regarding Marathon Petroleum layoffs

Stating the obvious here- no bonus or merit in ‘21

Okay, since I’m hearing this in the hallways and seen a thread about this, I’m going to address it here.

First of all, if you’re still employed by MPC, consider that a bonus. Second, MPC didn’t cut their pension or 401k match like some oil and gas majors have - consider that a bonus.

On what planet would a company who has lost billions and is currently borrowing money just to pay employees base salaries go ahead and fund a bonus and raise program? NO. You aren’t getting a bonus or a raise next year. So please. Stop. Asking.

I hate to tell the “expert” who initiated this thread, but we ARE getting bonus and merit increases. I got mine yesterday. My bonus was great, 94% of target! So if you are going to post information like it is factual, make sure your facts are correct.

I was laid off and got the 12% bonus I was suppose to get in 2021.

There's still more that are being let go from the central office at least by end of November.

I've heard more layoffs could happen in February, but it could just be a rumor.

Ok, I was told we were past the lay-off phase. Everyone that was going to get laid off has received his or her notice. But something tells me more are coming. Any thoughts?

If it's such a bonus why are so many people leaving marathon? Not just management but every position

Oh, and if you happen to live in Findlay, your house value will be plummeting.
