Make sure you guys are dotting your I’s and crossing your T’s. Altice has extra money left over in their budget but instead of giving to their techs they are giving it to the supervisors as incentives for firing techs.

Sorry for the delay, but your best bet is to go through Indeed for the Tesla position. I get emails daily via indeed for Tesla openings. Tesla has a couple of health insurance plans that take “zero dollars) out of ur daily check. Tesla gets 11, or 12 paid holidays, excellent stock package, & their 401k package is fantastic. U get a company car/truck, but u might have to wait couple weeks/months to get it due to COVID-19. I strongly recommended to research Tesla’s openings & perks ASAP. Again, Tesla is advertising heavily via indeed. I just have one word of advice when sending ur resume to Tesla. DO NOT SAY U WORKED FOR ALTICE, PUT DOWN CABLEVISION INSTEAD ON UR RESUME. Multiple recruiters there have never heard of Altice, but r very familiar with Cablevision. Best of luck to everyone.

Right before I left I saw that all the depots voted for union representation. I saw that all of Connecticut went union, and almost all of NJ/NY voted union. I believe the majority was IBEW. I'm just curious to see how its going there with union. Thank you.

ADT has a lot of contracting work. Insight & Safe Haven are the two big ones over here. Being a contractor u have to use ur own car, tools, ladder, etc. Screw that. The two ADT in house depots are in Long Island City & Melville. I just want to be clear on this: Six days a week is NOT mandatory. Obviously they ask & would like u to work 6 days, but it’s NOT mandatory. I know for a fact they just hired a few techs outta Melville depot, lowest starting pay at $23hr, but get raises every 6 months. I’m just saying it doesn’t hurt to send ur resume around, ats is done. I was there for about 10yrs. I just couldn’t take it anymore. Also Tesla is hiring for Field Techs working on their charging stations & doing solar work. If I get called from Tesla I’m taking it, FANTASTIC company to work for. Anyway, I wish u guys the best & best of luck in your futures.

I got an offer from a recruiter working directly for adt and was told you start at $15 and change an hour, they also told me that you get paid for parts etc. so it would work up to like 20-25 an hour. I was also told you are working 6 days a week but it could slow down. Dude I believe you but....lol that’s not what people are being told

I’ve been with adt for almost four years now. Everything about that employee review is 100% false. You do not have to work 6 days a week, I haven’t met one person who has been unhappy here & they all love the fact that they’re supervisors never push them to work late, if u can’t work late then fine. The benefits package is a lot less then ATS. The biggest lie was that person saying mgmt throws u out in the field. That couldn’t be further from the truth. New guys are extremely happy & not being rushed at all. If u need more time to train, no problem. What that person left out was that u get a raise every 6 months at adt, can advance very easily, just like ats u get ur own truck & can take it home. New hire tech at ats pay is $15.60hr. New hire adt tech is about $23-25hr with raises every 6 months. There are two groups of residential techs at adt, one are techs that only do installs (one install a day, it’s true), the other group are service techs. Commercial techs are a separate group with increased pay. Now working as a contractor for adt is completely different. Just like a contractor for ats gets paid by job, so adt contractor & benefits aren’t as good as adt in house employee. I work directly for adt & that’s obviously what everyone wants. Just like the other post said, I love it here & I worked at Cablevision for about 13yrs. I loved working at Cablevision, loved it. I left just before the s**t was about to hit the fan over at ats. Managment doesn't care about employees, everyone is unhappy and/or quitting. That's why there is a huge hiring spree. You never get out of work on time , you're forced to work 6 days , the benefits package is almost as expensive as cobra or personal insurance . Management just throws you out in the field and expects you to know everything. No guidance or career planning .
Pros
Its a job and its hiring at a time like this
Cons
Health plans high, union does nothing, no guidance, work life balance

Nah I’ll take my chances with ats

Hey what’s up fellas. I worked for Cablevision little over 11yrs. Trust me, I feel ur pain. I left about 6-7 months ago & I have never been happier in my life. I’m working for ADT doing installs. I do one install a day, that’s it. It’s great over here & they are hiring a lot of guys now. I wish everyone the best. Good luck with everything.

Just adding on to the last post.If you don’t have the correct safety gear texted your supervisor so you have it documented. Don’t do a job that is unsafe if they tell you to do it have them meet you at the job site.The supervisors who are left s— especially in Suffolk County

Watch your back. No safety equipment no work. Make sure you have batteries in amp clamp. Check you first aid kits make them get you one. Check dates on hot gloves and ladders. Is you registration and truck inspection overdue? Make them get you safety glasses. If it unsafe to climb kick job back. Make sure they give you safety vests. Are fire extinguisher dated correctly Work safe. If you need police detail make sup get you one. Call OSHA. This is still 🇺🇸 mark everything on weekly truck inspection. Email every thing get it in writing.

Tinton Falls shop is getting the axe in the new year. Looks like they've been ramping up contractors to fill what few guys they have over there. I work in Piscataway and I'm freaking out, considering it's somewhat close to us. RAD is on a hiring spree and Prince is also grabbing more people to prepare for Monmouth closure. What a freaking mess. Good luck guys.
