Why am I hearing about possible hour cuts? Please, somebody, tell me that's not true? Why is it even being considered? We are barely managing to get anything done as it is. And we all know we'll need more seasonal employees soon anyhow. So what's the point?

We’ve noticed that for every new hire we bring on, and looks like they’re going to stay, we have an existing employee terminated. Several in the past few weeks. All for very minor infractions compared to whats been going on for years. And guess what? The infractions are still occurring! Because it’s the way we do business. So they select who they’re going to hold accountable as a scapegoat, terminate them, usually ones who were getting paid more than others, then keep the new hire and teach them how to do the same infractions.
They want people to leave the new hires are being told they “could” become management by working at Lowe’s. So the new people say yes with the dream of being a manager at Lowe’s. Waisting a lot of time s—ing up to anyone with a title and screwing over their co workers in the department.
I’m looking for another job. I worked when others would not during the height of Covid. Now my hours are cut. This is a disgusting way to treat people.
To get a bigger tax write off hoping to hire more and more people. And hoping to have the current work force quit! So lows can say we hired this many during the pandemic to give a pandemic tax write off for big corporations like lowes. What hoops would you jump threw for the corporate nickel?
