Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

New College Hires starting in Engineering in January 2021, are they replacing the higher paid older Engineers layed off in October 2020??

It's a continuation of the standard work strategy. Degrade a roll to the point where a child could do it, then reduce cost. We don't need expensive engineers doing jobs we've removed any required thinking. Should help the stock price do great. Let the next guy figure out how to develop anything new.

uh.....yes? They care about cost right now - not quality. How else do you explain one department with 10 QE's less than a year ago now has 3 and an extra value stream (read: thousands of more parts).

So Joe with 25 years experience as a P4 vs Chris as a P1? Sounds like a win for Mr. Calio.

Who cares if Joe is better than Chris? SDO's & FPN's all day baby!
