Mikey has a big mess that Gary and Greg left behind. I agree with most of the comments that I have read. This will definitely be an excellent case study for Gary’s "The Ohio University", when all the dust settles. Including in this case study, I would include several chapters: small town thinking for a global corporation, living in the past, nepotism in its finest, egoism, gregarious corporate leadership, pretentious leadership, serious practice of name dropping to dilute or conceal decision making, a large gap of less experience employees vs retirement aged leadership due to the eliminated middle management (acquisition/layoff), and the illusion of flip-flopping of management as a cure. One thing for sure, if MPC plans to become competitive in this world, by staying in Findlay OH, it's going need an international airport, or enjoy the 2-hour drive to Detroit, Cleveland or Columbus as your airport of choice.
Are you sure the world’s sharpest and most talented oil professionals don’t all live in Findlay, Ohio?
That’s what leadership keeps telling me, while the supervisors and managers leave at 3 PM after taking 2 hour lunch breaks to play basketball at the YMCA
