I believe that Boeing high level Management need to bring some of the - "Oldie but Goodie retirees " from the past on as contractors short term. Use the knowledge of those from the past that are driven and care about the future to get things back on track at South Carolina. High Caliber employees from the past that can drive the company in an upward direction. The company has been failing for quite a while and it wasn't that way in the past. Experience and caring about driving the company in an upward direction benefits all. Those that are below mediocre need to be sent packing. Many top notch employees from the past I'm sure would love to see Boeing rise again to new heights and be part of the surge to make Boeing a company to be proud of and profitable again. Working for a paycheck and doing the bare minimum is driving Boeing down to low levels and we don't want a just survive kind of company. With the past tactics the experience high level people retired and the experience went out the window. Also, many employees could barely get to work let alone do the job. Time for a positive change! For those that do care and work their tail off they are needed.

Too bad for the company, the Board of Directors will always have the stockholders’ best interest so you as an engineer or professional worker should do the same. Don’t give the company any of your loyalty, work hard and when it’s time to leave then it’s time to leave.
Ask anyone with an education ask an engineer

All you down voters must not have been around pre-merger, or even know what’s gone down in the 20+ years since. The below poster is spot on. I was a new hire, just pre-merger , didn’t understand what all the old timers were talking about.... 20 yrs down the line, every single thing they were carping about has come to fruition. Downvote all you want, you don’t know what the hell you’re downvoting. Boeing’s been on a slow 20 yr slide, we’re almost at the bottom. Where we are today, is a direct result of the merger. If you don’t like that fact, go back & research it it. Boeing today, is NOT the Boeing that I hired into 23 yrs ago.... ask anyone who’s not a new hire, or has more than 10-15 yrs with the Co.
Employees of the past meaning people who worked there prior to 1997?
The company has been steadily going down sincr McDonnell Douglas bought it. McD was supposed to disappear and a lot of the Boeing struggles can be traced back to McD corporate policies.
Oh well too bad for Lazy B, this has been going on since 1997, we are just watching Boeing hit all time lows.
