Sad to see Intuit go back to cutting employees as a way to make shareholders happy. They use to do this for years in June every year to get everyone off the books by August (we called it layoff season in the Steve Bennett and early Brad Smith days). They always used the same excuse as this time. They claimed they were going to stop it by running the business better year-to-year.
You know, I miss the days when layoffs used to be a once-a-year thing. Now, we have no idea when more cuts will come. And with the pandemic, it's like the ELT were given a carte blanche to do whatever they want with a nice COVID-19-wrapped excuse handy. If there was a semblance of job security at Intuit, it is now gone.
