Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Downhill from here

Please let this company shoot itself in the foot, why complain, let them keep using outside contractors, it just creates job security for techs that where trained properly. This incompetent owners run this company into the ground. Never seen customers hate a company with passion. Personally this company has stripped everything to the bare bone, and now there breaking bones makes no kind of sense, they don't have any reason to keep doing what there doing, all the highest people that were making from Dolan round table payroll and all the way to customer service has been cut by at least 75%. People that where making 6 figures are no longer around in management they replaced 10 depot sups to 2, multiple 6 figure management to 1 per region and that person is lucky if he broke a hundred thousand, they've replaced sups with techs that are making $30 an hour in Nyma. What a joke, now they're reputation is showing and the customers are fed up and trying to petition for anew provider, lousy service complaints from up top cause of course ish flows downhill. Then they point fingers at field techs and plant tech. What do u expect from a company that was the best in customer service and service provider to be s— dry from foreigners that only care about investors. Smh

Hahahahaha...FO REAL, said "Job security". You cant be that silly and really believe that. Have you noticed the way the company is currently running. You actually think they care about making things right with customers or keeping you, because you think it's benefits them in any way. You sound like a battered wife. That's some really crazy sh–

Hate to say this but I personally don't think that they see any value in any of us in-house techs at all. The plan is to get rid of every one of us. If one contractor stinks they replace him with another. Its how they have been running the show overseas for years and they are not interested in changing here

Altice is starting to realize that they need all the in house techs that are left, due to the incompetence of contractors. Contractors are job security ask any tech that followed up on contractors work. They'll tell u job security

You’re funny, you’re really funny.

That’s great, they brought back some of the union techs... for now. What do you think is going to happen when these CBA’s start to expire? Sure, they legally have to negotiate but that doesn’t mean they have to be accommodating. Do you really think Altice will renegotiate in good faith? When have they been known to do anything in good faith? Those depots will inevitably go on strike and Altice will drag out negotiations to the point of an impasse. Now the ball is in their court and gives them the freedom to bring in more contractors and continue to eliminate in-house employees. Which we all know was their plan since inception. That CBA does nothing but prolong the inevitable. Altice is greedy, they have deep pockets and they will use that to their fullest advantage. Anything involving Altice does not involve a future.

Do you know any other word besides b–ches? Honestly, its not shocking anyone or insulting anyone either. The one single thing it does do is display the poor job your parents did raising you. I don't know why you would want to put yourself out there But its a free country.

That poster is definitely not a union electrician. The electrical union actually does something for you. When you retire the union provides you with a pension. They find you work. And back you when needed. They only back you here

Down hill from here? It’s been down hill since 2016. Anyone who is anti union these days is either in management or is scared and desperately needs this job to feed Tiny Tim!

Nope, don't even work for the company. Im actually an electrician that is also with a union. But for the record I still think the union is over hyped b—s—. I used to work for the company when they got bought by those french f–s. I just like coming on here and bashing you guys for working at this sh– company. I just had some free time so I thought I would tease you sensitive little b–ches. I truly don't give a f— about you or your coworkers. I don't care if you end up jobless or if you stay miserable with that sh– company for the rest of your life. I just get the giggles out of making fun of you.

@1khc+17nwttSp, Don't know if you are Management or Regular Employee. But what I know is. You didn't want anything to do with a Union at one point and now the Company got you by the balls all of a sudden you want representation. And, you want the Union to hold you by the hand and make everything better. Ain't gonna happen. You better be ready, willing and able to do what it takes to save your jobs.

Hey : @1uke+17nwttSp

Why are you so angry? It's super unfortunate that you have to work for an awful company. Union or non union. You all still have to work like a slave all day with a clown company. You do realize that eventually contracts end and so does the support of your union. You all know what happened with spectrum and a few years ago, also verizon had a similar situation and the union couldn't save those guys either. So whatever way you look at it, you're pretty much living in a sh– show.

“Job security for the techs who were trained properly”

Now that is some funny s - - t. You must be from a union depot or you’re just the most naive person on the planet. If you haven’t figured it out yet, here is a reality check for you: Altice will replace you with subcontractors and there is nothing you or the union can do to stop it.

Do yourself a favor, quit trying to polish this t–d and start looking for a different job.
