Heard that some have started exiting the building already.

Furloughed employees who were not affected by the last workforce reduction were notified by HR that there furlough would continue beyond the 180 days until CVX integration team determines status of both CVX employees who were required to re apply (this is a typical CVX method) and NBL employees were advised of their status following review of talent profiles (expected to be notified by end of October).

I’ve asked a number of colleagues and haven’t been able to confirm this

Clearly there are those that know, and those that THINK they know what is going on.

Furloughed staff are automatically severed 180 days in. Do the math.

Fake news. No one has been told to leave. Anyone "leaving" are just clearing out in anticipation that they will not get retained, or if they do, will not be returning to their Noble Houston office- logical. This has been going on for weeks.

Furloughed people still remain. At least some. Consider that during a furlough, you inactivate you’re most experienced employees that are not needed to keep the company’s proverbial head above water line. In a lay-off, it’s the exact opposite.
Those remaining furloughed are likely considered very skilled and worth considering during a transition. It all depends on overlap with Chevron’s personnel.
Seems a little early for layoffs to begin. I expected talent profile evaluations, as well as CVX downsizing, would not occur until end of week. Some may not know their status until closer to the end of month.

Still furloughed? HAHAHAHAHAHA. If they weren’t notified prior to 180 days, they were automatically severed. Don’t call us, we’ll call you. By my count they’re all gone, or are about to be.

And the only people leaving Houston would be upper management or people leaving voluntarily. Find it hard to believe moves would be made pre-org chart release.
