At my store, two managers walked out within a week of each other. Considering the situation with this virus and how it's affecting the economy, it makes no sense to me they'd chose to simply walk away from a decent job right now. Do they know something we don't? Any managers here willing to share? Or am I just paranoid?

Amen! Quite frankly, Salary has its benefits when the world environment is positive, but moments like this with a global pandemic happening are destroyed loyal employees!
To be forced to work such long days, weeks, months, almost a year now is enough to make even the best snap!
I applaud those who still remain, as I’m hearing more and more salaries managers leaving to work elsewhere that pays equally well with shorter workdays!
Surely there will be more folks!
Yes. Giant Eagle is forcing its salaried employees to work longer hours as well as 6 and 7 days a week and only paying them for 40hrs a week. They are not receiving any compensation for all of the extra hours and days they are being forced to work. It is taking a toll on the employees personal life and they have all had enough. It is a poorly run company by greedy people who want you to believe they don’t make money. The new Giant Eagle motto should be “More Work and Less Help”
