Disadvantages of working from home?

This new hybrid workstation policy means that at least some of us will be able to work full time from home even after the pandemic. Could be a good idea, but to me feels like a trap because I work almost twice as much since I started working from home.
Maybe it's a hidden agenda, to get the most out of employees. Any opinions?

If you work more from home, be aware, you are the exception not the rule. Virtually all companies that allowed people to work from home saw a reduction in productivity and for the better managed ones, a good view of who actually works and who doesn’t. Companies have tons of tools to monitor people working at home.

You need to discipline yourself. Working from home is great. No commute. You need to have an office separated from your living room/family room/kitchen/bed room. Why? So you can disconnect, out of the office, is out of the physical location where you work. STOP using your laptop while sitting in the chair in front of the tube, unplug.

Not sure when the salary cuts for employees that decide to do permanent work from home will go into effect

So if we decide to work outside of HQ are our salaries getting cut?

I don't think it's a trap and I work about the same amount of work. Granted, my 2 hour (both ways) commute is now gone so I tend to fill that time with some additional work.
