Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

brace for next wave CSG 3.0

Next year restructure will focus on services , clean unnecessary senior management , reduce RVPs and SDs, flatten reporting structure , move projects implementation to remote delivery hubs, focus on specific industry projects , send ignite and transformation home , keep some PA for strategic accounts and convert most of remaining to be remote IA.

Time to move on , no future in this company.

I've heard change is coming. I work in success for an acquired brand, we've been told to the we will integrate into a new csg structure next year. I don't believe architects will be impacted but we shall see soon.

To the person with the 11/30 meeting... Other folks' experience may be different, but FWIW, I've been on both sides of the layoff table over the years and I've never seen the bad-news meeting scheduled a month in advance. Usually they're set a couple days before/after the official announcement, depending on the company.

If the person who said the first draft of names is ready is a credible source, the timing would be about right for a February announcement. Which aligns with the quiet CSG layoff last year.

“ first draft of 250-300 names is ready ...”

Are you serious? Who and How do they pick the names? Looks to me it’s completely random! There are people who bring in a lot of money for the organisation and being made redundant.

I’m not seeing senior management impact at all, I’m seeing hard workers that are impacted. How about the slash the executive through to VP level salary to save cost.

Seems like it is getting ready to start. I just got a 1:1 request for 4pm on 11/30 with the EVP of my group. Time to dust off the resume.

The useless are the army of svps just hanging out as pseudo account managers. Also... why does csg need its own marketing team? Seems like the definition of redundant to me. Csg will look completely different in three years, if it exists at all. SM’s will be co-primes...pro services will only work on top ten accounts... and support will be more integrated into product. It’s a giant cost center ripe for automation and tech to replace.

Hard to believe that an army of useless “senior” directors and managers will be laid off... they are the blood stream of this company.
