Maria Pardee came into her position not because she was a competent executive. Whilst Howard was out on medical leave, they had to put someone in his position quickly and also CSC needed another female executive other than Jo Mason. She led W&M with incompetency, false promises to her executive staff and the most unresponsive "working" person. Thus many of us left CSC. She is no stranger to "being laid off" as it happened before. Jolly good for DXC for letting her go but sad that Lawrie's brutal lay offs seems to be continuing. Pardee will leave with her pockets filled with gold and the average worker will get nothing if still the same as during Lawrie's reign.

Maria did nothing for W&M. She was a Lawrie appointee who got it by default when Howard Hughes was seriously ill and then got into dispute with Mike Lawrie. Lawrie broke UK employment law when he moved Maria into Howard's role whilst he was on the sick. Its interesting that Howard Hughes hasn't come back following the fall from grace of Lawrie. We also haven't heard anything about any settlement he may have privately obtained from DXC. Howard was a high flyer who knew the workplace business in detail having been blooded on major transformations , but he was not CSC. I see this move as preparation for the sale of W&M. The DXC brand in this area is toxic. No major deals are going to be made whilst it is still in DXC.
If this is the guy he's not leading anything, he's going to help with the transfer of W&M to a new company. https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-mcdaniel-58838a6/
I'd be more thinking they are going to sell W&M because the new owner would have their own people to run it.
Why dont dxc take over Accenture or load up DXC with 100s of Accenture execs so the company sinks in overheads.
This is becoming silly Mike how many dead wood Accenture execs do you need? The company cant sustain this, when are we going to see a big rise in turnover?
W&M staying with DXC now for sure
Maria was designated to lead the workplace into a new future.
What does this mean for the "strategic alternatives"?
That is a loss, she was excellent.
Maria is a real loss.
