Here's a secret: ALL companies work that way. You are an employee, not the owner.
Even an Owner has to abide by laws and wishes of stakeholders and investors. Even the owner can be sued or thrown out.

The sooner you realize that companies owe you nothing beyond your pay for the work you did, the better your life would be.

So move on. Get a job to pay your bills. Cherish your life and family. Grab a beer or coffee. beat some chicken and enjoy life.

I worked as a contractor at CCNA in Atlanta for five years and then came to Florida and worked for CCE. About a year and a half later came the big layoff and I was the last one for the day. What I hate the most is having an HR meeting the week before about all the benefits and then the moment I get clipped a week later I am walked to my car by security and have to leave the lot that minute.

I don't give my life to anymore companies.
