Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

What day next week

Any insight into how long we will have to wait next week to know? Late week would be torture. But I guess we waited this long.

Productivity is at 0

I would think the calls will be staggered throughout the week. Lots of employees to call and few people to make the calls. Those involved in the decision making will have to call 80-100 people. That takes time.

The field is busting their a–? Please. I’m out there most days, and apart from rigs/frac - all contractors btw - I rarely see a– busting. Gossiping, b–ching, mas—ating to Trump agitporn all in heaps. Actual work? Not really.

And yes, it impacts everyone’s focus and productivity. Look at the uptick in incidents. And if you’re not worried at all, you’re dead inside or completely out of touch. What I learn next week completely changes my life. Might involve a move. A new career. How does that not impact you?

Hopefully we will all know Monday and be done. Either we continue with our jobs or with our lives. No one wants to be dragged out till the end of the week. If I'm going to be laid off. I'd like to sign off and enjoy doing what I want to do all week before hitting the unemployment line.

@1tgy - Who said I was a guy? What...girls can't bust their @sses or call a spade a spade, too? The OP doesn't want to be busy as there's plenty to do on all levels. If not, that job isn't essential. That's why we're in this boat in the first place. We never cut enough fat off during previous layoffs, hired poor performers and kept bad managers year after year. Moping with their colleagues and whining to their friends about how hard they have it is more like their pace.
