Anyone would care to chime in with a prediction about potential Expedia Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Notices were given to some NORAM employees this week. No one has said how many people were being laid off this round.

I'm hearing there were layoffs this week. I'm not sure of teams/departments affected tho...

They sent out an email yesterday about big bonuses happening this year and after the October layoffs line of business stated that they were finished letting people go. Those left standing can rest assured that they have a job for the time being. However departments are closing and the employees that are left are being made to work jobs that they wouldn’t have applied for with no other options provided to them. I’d like to say we are safe for now but safe does not necessarily mean happy. At the end of the day it’s still a corporation and the employees are replaceable no matter how great they are at their job. It’s a hard job to walk away from though...the benefits are amazing.

Mike and Mike,
I agree with you pal. E.com will layoff more by March. They get off by layoff large amount of employees at once with no advance notice.

Sadly, I would have to agree with you Mike. Expedia always focused on way too many projects that never completed in time or in scope. Company is mismanaged. The will probably do more layoffs before the Spring. Once the vaccine is available widespread and people start booking travel again, nothing will get better with Expedia.

I give it to March and then they will cut another few hundred people.
