Do you predict that there will be Unilever Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Yes, the Ind bosses will continue to protect those of their own. Gone are the days of "were a family here at Unilever"
Purpose and sustainability that they communicate on the outside is a hypocrisy
Yes, they spoke to me in private (and have heard there are a couple more). This used to be a secure company but now no more. Bosses are trying to protect their own jobs, and due to budget cuts, they would rather cut their own staff just to retain their own. Such a selfish attitude of a company that claims purpose, sustainability, etc. on the outside.
My partner just got laid off, did a great job despite being constantly held back by his direct line manager who never followed through on personal development programs and whose own conduct sounded suspect at minimum, team bonus payments were only partially spent on the team and no one would say anything for fear of losing their job. Hmmmm sounds like a great place to work to me. My adviceā¦ find a career that is secure, unilever will potentially dump you without a second thought. (Just my opinion)

Yes, there'll be more to come. In a recent restructuring, they protected the pregnant (otherwise they'll get into trouble with country laws), as well as the women and disabled that they have KPIs against. They told me I'm a good performer but I was still let go, with very bad handling of HR on the payouts.
Absolutely yes, much of management has migrated to India and they will lie through their teeth to get jobs over to Bangalore and then fail to deliver and the gutless English management still left will say or do nothing.
My prediction is YES! More jobs to be outsourced to Genpact, and to their Bangalore office wherever possible. It’s a very sad cost cutting slope Unilever is taking.
