the same jilted ex girlfriends spreading the same misinformation

ESD's software s—s, just like the rest of the industry. Yet it still generates consistent revenue, YoY.

The man has built his business on stacking stable revenue sources.

Why would a ruthless genius like Tan sell that to HCL for pennies on the dollar?

It doesn't make sense because it's nonsensical.

Inbreds dropping the id–tic dog jokes. Sell to HCL predictions going on 3 years now.

ESD is like junk debt sent to collections.

Once that dog can no longer hunt (clarity, wily, rally, etc) it’s sent to the software graveyard (first collection agency) CA. It’s like Oracle CEO said, “CA is where good software goes to die”.

After CA has over paid for said dog, they seem to believe they can turn a profit. When in fact it would take a decade+ of profits to pay off the over priced acquisition. Revenues were simply intended to keep yearly company revenue from declining year over year

Fast forward a few years bike boy couldn’t impress investors with his rides nor his tight spandex shorts. Bike boy has destroyed the dogs and needs to call In another collection agency to rescue him.

Bike boy had a light bulb moment. Too much peddling wasn’t going to save CA he needed an octane powered bike!

That is where hock comes in. Bike boy traded in his soul and spandex for 50m from octane.

Broadcom was collection agency number 2. Now octane is fresh out , his dogs are tired stale and older than ever. Time to cash out.

Hcl thinks they can make these dogs hunt once more because they won’t pay severance, they won’t invest in new development either. 70% reduced staff.

What can HCL do to squeeze more juice out of ESD and SED? If not, why HCL wants them?

@1bjc+184Pwfss i don't know anyone that's happy in either sed, esd or msd. the only happy ones are the top 2 levels.

to answer the OP. if you are worried about your job, then you need to look. period. if you're not worried about your job, then you need to look.

having said that i've heard it's hard finding software people to work here. unless you're 2 years from retirement this place is a career k–ler. and wtf wants to report into an office ? with every tech company remote until mid-to-end next year...

Are we looking at Fiscal Q2 end (April) or Calendar 2021. Seriously, I don't know anyone in SED who's happy and neither are the few I know in ESD working under Serge and Denis

The agreement will be finalized soon: ESD will be sold to HCL by the end of 2nd quarter. The few customers who could not afford to change their installed CA software have been squeezed already.
