If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Office Depot Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Office Depot at U Village, Seattle is closing because the land was sold to an apartment conglomerate that will buid more apartments, in addition to the conglomerate monster, almost finished building, right across from the U.Village on 25th St NE in Seattle....a horrific site of thousands of small apartments, for sardine-like living, that will swamp the area, among many areas and neighborhoods being replaced by these cardboard square structures, that are asphixiating us all.
Greed is destroying us!
Sure the annual January layoffs are coming in the next couple of weeks. That’s OD’s MO.
The news of your pending layoff is not a rumor. The writing is in the wall....
It has nothing to do with current economy, per se. It's a total restructuring of the company and reinventing their platform to online services. Of course! They've already announced they are laying off 13,000 people over next two years. I'm already looking elsewhere before they close our store.
Earlier this year, OfficeDepot announced they would close stores and cut approximately 13000 jobs by 2023. Since this is there plan strategy AND the recent layoff of GMs nationwide this last week, it is a safe bet that more will come in 2021
