Do you think there may be small/medium/large Burlington Stores Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

They will let go of employees responsible for store's customer service & well maintained sales floor. But keep ridiculous store managers that can't even understand a ticket or be respectful of customers (& obviously not respectful of employees). Too bad they don't read their own guidelines.
Yep Full Time positions are being reduced to only 3 on the floor. Go to PT or severance. 0 days notice. 25yr full timer reduced to 12-24 hours PT & insurance dropped. Same with 5+ - 2 year employees. Seniority and skills not counted. Of the 3 kept only 1 does required multitasking skills. Other 2- 1has EOE lawyer & 1 has 35+ years of doing only what she wants. Also other stores no guarantee there will be an opening. Meanwhile hiring outsiders for fulltime Supervisor positions on floor but not allowing qualified current employees to advance unless Store manager's favorite. Such a joke of a company. Zero regard for associates that bring the money and customers.
I was just let go after working full time for almost 5 years due to my position being eliminated by corporate.
There are no full time positions available at nearby stores.
I got a 2 week notice.
It's just fabulous to lose your health insurance at 61...
Fast forward to January 2021, and I've officially been laid off from burlingtons asset protection team. Both full time position were terminated at my store. Heard they cut a manager too. Remaining associates say that the open door policy has been sc-apped.
Not unless a store closes will there be layoffs. Even then you could go to work at another store. Turnover is so high, there is never a need to lay anyone off. Not that type of place.
