My entire team was notified that our jobs are going to Serbia by July 1st. They are forcing us to train our replacements if we want the severance package.

I think those that are responding Jan 2021 are correct. To be precise, I think it is coming Jan 15th, based on a very cryptic meeting invite sent to myself and other team members by our manager.

I'm also sad to announce; big layoffs for the new year. It's a part of the new NCR strategy to hire for less.

Big big big wave coming in Jan. If you’re grade 9 and above; I’m very sorry.

One more round of layoffs to come in Jan 2021 in every country and region.
The list is finalized, but the employees have not been notified yet.
Some depts. have to cut 15%. Others up to 30% depending on how much of their budgets need to be slashed.
Supposedly this is based upon performance assessments as well as departmental budget constraints.

Perfect timing. Get your 401k match and leave. Plenty of better companies than NCR are hiring right now and that will extend into 2021. NCR used to strive to be middle of the road on benefits but it's getting worse every year. I recommend you work on your resume and get it out now aiming for an early Jan departure.

Suggest if your worried just start look while your still working. In the 24 yrs I worked there I was laid off 4 times, fortunately I was able to interview and be transferred to another group the three times. In that 24 years I would say there was always some realignment that resulted in layoff or riffs yearly. It will finally get to a point when you will start thinking am I next. It doesn’t go away. No matter how much heart and drive you put it your job. It makes no difference to the corporation. If you read some articles post on other threads you see they are growing the Serbia office. Another 1000 jobs there in 2021. The writing are their on the wall. While you have time look for opportunities that align with your experience now. Riff packages stink.
I’d rather leave on my own choice than by theirs.
Just my two cents

If you are in software and your product does not show in the updated product management chart, i would suggest to be ready and have your resume updated.
