With the buyout now of Walman, something will be rolling for smaller branches and lower-mid level positions to eliminate overhead of excess machinery/labor that can be transferred to larger processing facilities and processed/served at the same speed. Many Walman branches do not even surface lenses anymore, only edge, so what’s the point of these locations when there are numerous other facilities that are much larger and pay employees much less?! Between luxottica and essilor, there are so many facilities, that a small (in comparison) company like Walman can only be reduced to its bones, meaning the large processing facilities
