Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Different frame of mind

I don’t know how many times I can stress this - NCR is not a company that will put their employees first. The last round of layoffs should have opened your eyes to this. I don’t want to go through this ever again but if I do and I am on that list to be cut I can guarantee that I will be prepared for it. I will not let this company instill fear in me to get me to work twice as much for the same amount of money. I owe them nothing more than what they pay me for. I hope there isn’t another round but if there is I’m not going to be stressing over it.

Not that ncr would be laying off some without covid this time of year, but I think they took more advantage of the higher numbers because of covid. Perfect hiding place to rehire Serbia people at 12k to 14k a year

You can all see what's happening with this company. Health benefits are getting worse and more restrictive. You pay more and more for deductibles while exec's are on a different plan and pay nothing. All their expenses are paid inclusive of those apartments a block away from the midtown office. This is the tip of the iceberg as these hypocrites cry to save money. I'm done in Jan with this sh– company.

I was also let go in the last round. I had around 14 years with them and happened to me for the first time. What I learned from this is that you have to keep learning no matter what company you are at. Just so you are valuable and the next ccompany is willing to hire you. This is not only NCR but I have seen this in a lot of companies like Walmart, HomeDepot, Delta Air Lines, FISERV, Macys you name it. The company index here is full of them.
What I can tell is this was not at all related to performance and just because the company had to make their numbers. I hate all the bs cra* that they give you. CEO taking a cut.. LOL Really? They cut the engineers and hire juniors to save $25K if that a year and in return cripple their products. NCR drama just drives me crazy with a crazy lady in charge of the HR, some crazy as* directors in the Software Team. Here is my prediction. The current (Ex-IBM Management will move on to another company may be in a couple years) after they will be done spreading toxicity throughout the company. All of them will resign and move on together when cost cutting wont be possible any further. It seems like the company is run by a bunch of equity investors and all they care about is the next quarter. So much for making quality software products and growing people. This management especially the Software Management is full of sh**.
