Tibco is known for having layoffs in the first week of December and I don't think this year will be any different. As a matter of fact, I'm rather certain this year will be worse than any before courtesy of the pandemic. I hope everybody is prepared in case their name is on the list. If there ever was a time to dust of your resume and update your LinkedIn, this is it.

Saw some UK managers got binned back in October and a load of Indian employees promoted to manager. Tibco you have lost your minds
So did something happened ?
Confirmation that layoffs will happen on Friday, Dec 4th before 11 am. HR has been instructed to be on the call with managers, reducing staff by 20%, some regions will be reduced by 80%. D-Day is Friday, Dec 4th, 2020.
Of course there will be cost cutting layoffs to compensate for that:

Considering the Nov layoff (planned in June/July), is it true to do layoff after one month(Dec) again?
The company has gone down the drain. There is no innovation - it's just old products that hardly anyone buys now. I will not be surprised if this is the big one and they end up closing offices in Palo Alto. Why do they even need anyone here now?
Such a toxic place due to old timers.
