Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

To all my current and past Apache colleagues I hope 2021 is brighter and more prosperous for you than 2020. I also hope that Apache is bought or JC and his multiple layers of nepotised henchmen are canned.

Here is to hope!

BK seemingly likely - one major advantage to a holding co structure is that the holding company is able to let its subsidiaries go bankrupt and shield the rest of its assets. Chuck all legacy assets into one tank, "new" assets into another, and insulate them from each other. Execs can keep paying themselves through a protracted BK process, and protect their stock, somewhat.

Only hiccup, is that DR is nowhere near being an asset yet, and Suriname is certainly "unproven" from a production standpoint, even if the press announces make it sound 14 times better than Alpine High.

I don't think the bleeding is anywhere near done. Even the announcement of "oh this is a standard operating structure for companies like us" rings false. Why the hell haven't we done it before then?

Well with that holding company announcement there could very well be some BK activity on the way.

His judgment cometh, and that right soon.
