Layoffs all but imminent

GE Lighting in East Cleveland plans to stop making its A-19 LED light bulb line at its Bucyrus, Ohio, plant in March and could permanently lay off 81 workers there depending on union negotiations.

The laid off workers have been made eligible for additional benefits through the Federal Trade Act program. Workers should visit their local workforce center and ask about Trade Act benefits, petition number #96,740
