There is no question on sustainability of ESD. It is not. Crusty old software ?!? once these new customers see these old fossils they will want a refund. Hock only wanted the mainframe. So he’s giving away ESD once customers realize they were sold a bridge, hock will pull the trigger on ESD to HCL. HCL will pay hock top dollar too because by that moment hock will have more angry paying customers than buying customers thus leaving HCL a mess.

It sounds like that HCL is smarter this time and doesn't want to be cheated again to take over the ESD with loss?

Whom ever keeps posting this c-ap obviously doesn't work there. The ESD is starting to show decent results. Whether is is sustainable is another question, but for now the numbers are looking good. Despite the BS posted here, I think Broadcom has done a better job of trying to work as a unified company than CA ever did. Now the ESD is not allowed to steal revenue from the MSD, so they actually have to fight to make sales. Having your * over the fire is a great motivator.
