My plant is joining 26 others in filing a massive lawsuit against Dean Foods for mistreatment and violation of bargained employee contracts.
Each employee is seeking in excess of $60,000 dollars for “pain and suffering” and “financial distress”.

I find it totally absurd that since there is no suit filed anywhere in the USA about this and really how can you file a lawsuit against a company that no longer exists? You must be from the midwest plant that has an opinion of themselves that they are cow dung that does not stink. Well here you are now. Show the proof or shut up and enough of your mouth that constitutes the cow dung that comes from it. You were one of the worst plants of all time and continue to be. Which is why you will be replaced by other employees or shut down. Quality, productivity you have no idea what it is. As long as you can run your mouth and not back it up is the same as the bar maid down the street..... A FANTASY!!!!
Same meeting here. They told us we have to wear bacon wrapped water chestnuts for earrings whenever we leave the plant and it'll pay out after 30 straight days if doing so.
I'm super pumped to be getting a slice of that huge pile of Dean Foods cash 30 days from now.

Why stop at $60,000?

It’s true. We had a meeting about it yesterday. And the $60,000 number must be a typo. Because. It’s $6,000 per employee plus extra compensation for lost pensions up to $10,000 if you have accrued over 20 years of service. $5,000 for 10 years and $2,500 for 5.
If true it has zero chance of going anywhere....even if Dean Foods was still in operation and had $60K per employee to give the only ones who make money in these types of lawsuits are the lawyers...probably the same ones who made millions in the bankruptcy...lawyers who would end up settling for their fees and employees would end up with something like a coupon for a free gallon of milk.
