i know the week of July 6th was when the final plans were agreed upon and a select few were told outside of management. Supervisors acted as if they did not know... utter B.S.! you could literally see it in their eyes, i knew something was up! certain individuals in the A&P managements gave rather long and guilty stares. but in all THANK YOU!!! you cut the cord that was binding me to this company and gave me an opportunity to discover my worth which drove me to work hard and get hired at my dream company!

I wish GA all the best. I hated getting laid off, but I am so glad to have moved on now. My skills were outdated and I didn’t know it. There are other companies with good culture and good people out there.
And a silver lining, I ended up networking with a financial advisor who is helping me to be in a waaay better position when I retire than I would have been as a GA lifer. I feel like I’ve gotten out of a bad relationship looking to brighter days ahead. But I really do wish my colleagues all the best and lots of success.
totally agree some of my former colleagues were talking about the amount of people going to be laid off and how many were going to be let go at the high desert locations. just shows how it was a target based layoff and management choose to retain their buddies.
