Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Will HP inc. Headquarters move from Silicon Valley to Texas?

HPE HQ has decided to move to Texas. What about HP Inc.?
Is there an incentive to do so? Would you favor this decision?

It's doesn't really matter. HP Inc is not the HP of the past. It can go anywhere it wants and no one will care.

Heard from an anonymous exec that it won't be happening any time soon if HP does follow suit.

Palo Alto employees think they are better than Houston. Mix in the C-suite who is virtually all foreigners, and I would doubt a sensible job saving decision really matters to any of them. They only care about their paychecks.

Management is always talking about the company shrinking (off record) so expect layoffs to continue full time and CW.

As a former HPE and now HP Inc. employee, I can see this as a possibility. HPE followed HP Inc. to their new campus location near ExxonMobil. Our companies still operate very similarly.

HP (from now on I’ll say “HP”, meaning “HP Inc.”) has been very focused on Taiwan and Houston for a very large majority product development. Rumors have it right now that HP might shut down small satellite locations that might not make sense for business strategy.

As someone mentioned, HP execs likely won’t move to Houston. I think Palo Alto will still hold executive meetings but moving HQ to Houston is a real possibility. I don’t think HP will move right away. I’d probably wait until we are able to go back into the office until that announcement is made.

Palo Alto. At this point ... But wherever they move, the higher ups won't live there.

Menlo Park will always be the home base for HP.
