DFA trucker warning

News out of KC yearly manager meeting today. DFA going nationwide mass warehousing. Routes slashed in half. Truckers will be forced to deliver to warehouses then DFA will contract local haulers from there in an attempt to cut benefits and health care costs. Could be hundreds of truckers losing their jobs now!!!

How'd this "insider" info turn out?

Surely they mush have shared a timeline for implementation. Was it over or under 6 months?

So basically “no touch” freight for our drivers. They sit in truck while cooler loads up and sit in truck while unloading at warehouse. Geez...... must be rough.

I guess they removed that guy matt comment the company is gonna do worse then dean I’m sure everyone here is either looking or to retire so your comments mean nothing here I can only say is to steal as much time as you possibly can do things out there for yourself not the company and enjoy the holidays with your family bc our hard work is never appreciated.

False. The Warehouse proposal is serving as a midpoint stop gap for current drivers. The contracted fleets will then load out and disperse to local deliveries from warehouse. The milk won’t be sitting to rot.

Its the same people posting fake news to stir other people up. Its like the person who states that his source says there is a buyer for Harvard and Depere but as his deadline passes with no new news he mysteriously disappears.

Weird. In about 10 threads below it states DFA isn't doing anything different from Dean's.

Doubt it. Warehousing fresh milk isn’t very common or even something retailers want.

S— if true. But while it's tough to find a job in many areas in production or a warehouse that pays as well, someone with a decent work history and a CDL can easily find a job making more money working someplace else.

In the words of Monty Burns on the Simpson’s. “EXCELLENT”!!!!! Truckers from the days of Deans acted like they owned the joint and wanted all the credit.

About time!!!! Drivers sit on their butts waiting even on the clock so when it pulls off the dock then independents get paid. If you had gotten out of a char you might still have a job. No one to blame but yourself.......

Don't know if true or not, but makes total sense. DSD is dying. Trucks delivering multiple products from multiple manufacturers with more pickups but less drop off stops is the way of the future.
