Good luck Concho employees. I don’t know why they called the company ConocoPhillips when they “merged” unless it was to massage Archie Dunham’s ego (Conoco CEO who sold his employees down the river so he could fatten his fat pocketbook more). It should have retained the name Phillips as they ultimately took over every aspect and the Conoco employees were “weeded out”, even an EVP who was retained for 1 mil in the merger, but he deserved it. Phillips, with the help of Dunham, ruined a good and respectful company (Conoco) in the industry. Unfortunately, that seems to be the nature of our corporate world today, so hitch up your big boy pants and don’t say no one told me what to expect, you need to have a plan to survive.

I’ve seen this movie before. They will come in and push their way of doing things on us and then wonder why we become less profitable. Layoffs will come with excuse that we don’t fit the culture etc etc. get ready to have a backup plan.
Concho will be announcing soon. It won’t have a WARN notice because it will be less than 500 employees. Going to start the first of 2021
If you people think you’re safe then you’re in for a very rude awakening. COP is cleaning their house right now and the only reason they aren’t laying off Concho people is because the deal isn’t done yet. Your time is coming and none of the executives that survive will save you. They are there for themselves. If a new opportunity presents itself, you should take it.
At least our execs prioritized themselves in the process.
Have you seen Concho’s ? Don’t worry we will show you the way when we take over..
Hahah!! Have you seen COP’s balance sheet??? COP most definitely did not NEED Concho. What COP did is take advantage of the current industry downturn and capitalize by making a strategic take over of Concho.
COP needed Concho more than Concho needed COP.
Make no mistake, COP bought Concho, you are not safe.
