Has anyone heard about layoffs? In the LTL it was said “I don’t have anything else to say on this subject, but if I do have anymore information you will know” We just spent millions on a new system, but knowing the industry, this system is very popular and it would be smart to change systems for a smoother transition when the company sells. Has anyone go through the layoff process when a piece of the company is sold? Do we walk-in one day and be gone the next or could be possibly be sold with the company?
We hear the rumors that P&C is being sold, people are being laid off, but who are these people that were laid off? We haven’t heard anything. I’m sure that if people were being laid off we would hear something. I don’t think they the sale of P&C is “just a rumor” all the signs are there. It would be a smart move a break from the P&C side of business if you can’t compete. I love working for MetLife, you guys can say all day they don’t care about you, but “Business is business” it’s not personal. It would be unfortunate not to be offered another position in a different department with the same team and boss. I truly had plans to retire with this company and hope that they don’t move forward with the sale of the company. However, if they are really being offered 4 billion it would only make sense to sell. It would take years to make that kind of money and then on top of that pray that there isn’t anymore catastrophic events or lawsuits.
