Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

SVS Benefit

Does anyone have any details on how large the SVS benefit will be? Will it be the standard 3 weeks/year of service or will it be more?

It’s on the Hub, only trolls are asking these questions for market intel.

When I left in 2016 it was 4 months of insurance then you can stay on Cobra after.

is there typically a maximum on the number of weeks. I saw some maximum numbers thrown around. Say if you have worked 30 years for Shell does that simply convert to 90 weeks? I had heard 1.5 years max.

Also, are there any benefits that continue or are all benefits severed?

What do most people do with their pensions? With low interest rates do they cash in their DB pensions and get the lump sum?

Most likely 3 weeks. I have been through five or six of these and it's always the same. At least in the US.
