It's official Dean Foods in Chemung and Depere both sold on a joint venture to Borden and Select Dairies. Dfa allowed to keep Franklin.

Keep hearing that about Chemung but yet to see any confirmation.

DOJ had forced Dean Foods to sell a plant in Waukesha Wisconsin a few years to a private equity firm. Would like to think they won’t make that same mistake again. Private equity firm had big plans to sell the plant to Walmart. After a year it became obvious that plan wasn’t going to happen so they shut it down with no notice. Plant eventually got bought out of bankruptcy by a new owner, retooled for a different line of dairy products, and reopened. A couple of id–ts tried to assert rights that they didn’t have claiming new owner was obligated to hire them and abide by their old union contract. All that did was result in new owner not hiring any of them.
