UPstream Culture Manager should be fired

Can we agree that the culture and behaviors change component of the reorganization was a resounding failure?
Why then isn’t the manager of culture not terminated?
In fact, how is it reasonable for a geologist to run a culture and behaviors program?

Save money on this overpaid and ineffective position and ax the high flyer slacker.

I don’t know what to think. It could very well be that the culture manager is everything we could hope for but problem is VPs are unwilling to change and she can’t cut their bonus to make them listen.

People on this site need anger management therapy or you will lead a very unhappy life. Culture manager has delivered hard messages to senior management from input to them. You have an ally and don’t even realize it and are attacking them when they are working to emphasize your concerns, frustrations and views to management.

The only person they help is themselves.

If you think about it, the position is redundant as we already have enough bureaucrats in communications, plus the useless HR, plus the servants of executives (planners, etc).

This position does nothing to advance change, or to improve how we work or what we go through, just all it does it to placate and prop up failed leadership.

Totally disagree... she has a tough job and cares deeply about making the organization and culture better. She's provided a voice to many concerns that otherwise wouldn't have been heard.

The culture should be simple... WORK Safely, WORK HARD, WORK alot, WORK smart, WORK EFFICIENTLY, Manage risk of WORK. XOM needs to return to a culture of WORK...not a culture of WOKE. PS after you WORK you sleep 6 hours and go back to WORK.

Seriously uncool. Our Upstream Culture Manager has been the best sycophant and has been doing their best to suc k up to managers telling them how awesome they are. After all, they got coaches and all, so they are much better at pretending they care. Be kind to your incompetent managers, within their limited capacity they are doing their best.
